ASYCUDA training by Customs APM at NFZ House

Posted in News on 21 March 2016

It was all work & very little play as NFZ staff settled down on 16th March 2016 to a 3-day training course to understand what ASYCUDA is all about & how it works. ASYCUDA, Automated Systems for Customs Data is a very vital tool in world trade used by Customs worldwide.ASYCUDA was introduced in Nigeria in 1999.

ASYCUDA was developed by United Nations Conference for Trade & Development (UNCTAD) to aid trade facilitation and for the smooth flow of imports & exports between countries except items prohibited by law of a said country.

ASYCUDA enables this smooth process of trade between countries because all transactions involving import & export of goods/cargo are automated & tracked where customs is concerned.
