Nigeria has become the largest economy in sub Saharan Africa, with a rebased GDP of $594,257 billion (based on 2013/14 figures from the World Economic Outlook database). With an estimated annualised growth rate of 6.3 per cent between 2014 and 2023, Nigeria is also one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa and the gateway to doing business with trade partners in West Africa and beyond.
The country has established trade alliances with major economies such as India (12.6%), Netherlands (10.5%) and Brazil (9.5%), along with China, U.S., South Africa, Spain and the UK, and enjoys bilateral air service agreement with numerous countries around the world.
